These past few weeks, I've been wanting to draw more centaurs for my gallery, but I was having drawer's block and I couldn't draw a centaur without screwing up the form.>_<
Thankfully, I did a pretty decent job on this one last night.
This drawing is based off of the character "Sunflower" from The Pastoral Symphony segement in Disney's Fantasia. The character was edited out of modern releases of the film, on account of her design and portrayal in the film being deemed as racist/racially insensetive/politically inccorect etc.
I basically drew Sunflower in my own centaur style, rather than Disney's, what with my horse body being more realistically porportioned, and horse ears instead of regular ears.
I think I'll also do Otika(another black centaur girl who was edited out of Fantasia) as well.
No copyright infringement intended. The character Sunflower belongs to Disney.

I love the pose and how lithe she looks as opposed to big and chunky like most centaurs. How come she was edited out? I don't even remember her in the older version (all I remember was that blue lady one with the long flowing mane that me and my sisters fought over being!) or else that's what I vaguely remember...
